Roy and Estrella’s adventure continues this time involving an unsuspecting can, a fisherman, and Vienna sausages.
We continue our stroll, getting closer to our destination of the doggy water bowl station.
Both dogs are calm with the exception of Roy who is still recounting his tales from earlier by howling, but overall the pups are well behaved.
While chatting with my walking buddy I noticed Estrella heading towards a can, not knowing what it was or what was in it, I gently pull her away from it.
Unfortunately I was too late, she already had her mind set on this shiny can.
“No, no, put that down!” I tell her but my voice turns to silence when filtering in her ears.
Roy joins the inspect the mystery can party.
A few seconds later, 2 Vienna sausages rolled out from the can.
1 for each pup to enjoy and enjoy it they did!
I was a bit slow to register why there was random can of Vienna sausages here.
My walking buddy on the hand quickly had a light bulb moment.
“Ooh no!” She exclaimed.
“I think that was someone’s bait for fishing.”
Suddenly a young boy ran towards us after seeing what happening to his bait.
We both immediately apologized.
My walking buddy asked him how long he would be there fishing so she could go out and replace his bait but he was incredibly sweet and said it was no problem.
I later purchased 2 Vienna cans in hopes I’ll see him again so I can replace his fish bait that turned into husky bait, reeling in 2 huskies!
Dogs are so unpredictable and make life that much more interesting.
In one day I had the pleasure of meeting an escapist and a thief.
You can find many adoptable pets looking for a loving home at the Grand Prairie Animal Shelter.
Don’t live near this city, consider visiting your local animal shelter to receive and provide love to an animal in need.
Side note: Estrella was adopted that very day! You bet your fur-covered socks that I did a Happy paw-ty dance!!!
