To shake off the bizarre bite mishap that took place, I wanted to walk another dog.
One of the pups I chose to help me regain my confidence in walking dogs, was Maleficent. (I’ll share the 2nd pup soon)
Maleficent is listed as a 1 year old Australian Kelpie mix.
Maleficent also happens to be the kennel mate of my favorite shelter pup, Kokomi.
When I walk Koko, sometimes my walking buddy and Maleficent will join us.
I don’t know what it is about Maleficent but she is one intriguing girl.
Maybe it’s her cute pointy ears or it could be her gold color eyes.
Either way she was a wonderful walking buddy.

Maleficent is super curious and wanted to investigate everything that piqued her interest.
For instance the wild fields.
“I wonder what I’ll find inside those untapped fields.” I imagine her saying.

She definitely wanted to explore further, but me not so much.
I didn’t want to discover what was lurking in the shadows.

We rounded out our walk by stopping by the pup den, a place where I like to take the dogs to chill and hangout for 5 mins.
I stayed here longer then I intended too, I was lost in thought replaying the prior incident.
I think Maleficent must’ve sensed my mood because she begun to whimper.

Looking into her soulful eyes, I immediately snapped out of it and apologized for not giving her my full attention.
Luckily plenty of treats and belly rubs made up for my lack of attention and she was happy again.

The side tongue cracks me up!

If you want to welcome home a sweet pup, visit here to checkout Maleficent’s ID & bio.
You can find her and other adoptable pets at the Grand Prairie Animal Shelter.
Don’t live near this city, consider visiting your local animal shelter to receive and provide love to an animal in need.
