I Go Nuts for Kolache!

Wait . . . that doesn’t sound quite right.

Let’s try again, I go nuts for Donuts!

Still not quite there.

How about this: I go nuts for Donuts and Kolache!

Now that feels right because today, I’m introducing you to Kolache, a sweet shelter pup!

I’ll admit, before meeting her, I wasn’t familiar with the Czech and Slovak pastry she’s named after.

Who knew dog walking could also be a lesson in baked goods?

Kolache shares her kennel with a buddy named Donut, fitting, right?

My walking partner took Donut, while I had the pleasure of walking Kolache.

Kolache is listed as an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and let me tell you, she’s one chill girl.

She’s on the shyer side and is the kind of dog who makes a walk feel like a peaceful drive on a smooth road; no bumps, no sudden stops, just an easygoing stroll.

No hard pulling or tugging, just pure relaxation.

Kolache loves her treats and takes her time sniffing everything.

At one point, we stood by a light pole for what felt like five minutes while she took in every scent.

I didn’t mind, I just let her enjoy her moment.

She’s a total sweetheart, and I loved every minute of our walk.

I had a great walk with an equally great pup, and now I’ve got pastries on my mind.
